DANIEL G. ANNA, ESQ. Daniel Anna has been practicing in the fields of immigration, employment, and healthcare law since 1993. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Delaware County Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, National Health Lawyers Association, and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
He is a well-known community advocate in the African and Hispanic communities in southeastern Pennsylvania. He conducts community outreach programs through La Communidad Hispana and Radio Tam-Tam (the local international radio station). He is also a mentor in the AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association). He is involved in the Big Brothers Program.
Mr. Anna is a Dean's List graduate of Rutgers School of Law, Camden, New Jersey. He received his Juris Doctor in May 1993. He was a member of the Dean's List. In addition, Mr. Anna served as Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate, Student Newspaper and University Senator. Other activities included the Student Bar Association, Francis Deak International Law Society, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
Mr. Anna attended the University of San Diego Summer Law Institute at the Universite de Paris-Sorbonne, focusing on European Community Law and Comparative Law in 1991. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin in May of 1986. At the University of Texas, Mr. Anna was a Government Major focusing on Latin American Studies with a French minor. During his undergraduate program, he was a member and President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and President of the Student Government Community Relations.
Mr. Anna's private practice concentrates on immigration and nationality law and representing individuals and businesses with immigration issues. Some of his work is categorized as general civil litigation, employment law, disability law, family law, bankruptcy, and criminal law. Other experiences include working with Renal Treatment Centers, Inc. Berwyn, PA. Mr. Anna volunteered with the Delaware County Legal Assistance Association Chester, PA where he represented clients during all phases of protection from abuse actions before the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. He Interviewed clients, investigated cases, and performed follow-up tasks for social security disability benefits cases. Mr. Anna was a research assistant for Albert P. Blaustein - Professor of Law Emeritus, writing articles and foreign correspondence, translating French texts of Constitutions, researching and compiling historical data, and preparing submissions for publication. Other volunteer experience includes conducting seminars on farmworkers' rights before students in Philadelphia area schools for Friends of Farm Workers, Inc. As a Student Board Member of the Criminal Law Forum - An International Journal, Mr. Anna wrote, summarized, spaded and researched articles, notes, and book reviews for publication and solicited contributions from African legal experts for this international criminal law publication. Mr. Anna taught at Friendswood High School, Friendswood, TX Teacher from 1989 to 1990. He served in the United States Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa from January 1987 to May 1989.
